peering issues all over the place

Anyone seeing issues with one way audio or failed SIP traffic, etc. ??? Since Friday 12/10 in the afternoon we have had issues with several customers on third party internet carriers where customers on Verizon broadband in Wilkes-Barre PA cannot pass SIP traffic to level 3 IP addresses . and where customers on Sprint are getting one way audio to Global Crossing... Anyone else??? Any clues would be greatly appreciated. Without someone pointing out the obvious (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/voicesw/ps6788/vcallcon/ps7293/r…) I interpret "No SIP Trunk or G.711" to mean: "You will not be trunking with my SBC!" Taken from http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/consumerfacts/voip911.html " Interconnected VoIP providers must also provide one or more easy ways for their customers to update the physical location they have registered with the provider, if it changes." Is there any real definition of "one or more easy ways"? We just took on a network that's made up of residential users who have DHCP. I am wondering how to deal with a user who may have a PAP-2T and either their IP address changes or they may indeed move the ATA. In our current business offering this is a non issue since the CPE is usually a TA900 connected to a Metro Ethernet or T1 and we do not use DHCP. We can lock their ATA to a specific IP and know the user won't roam. Richey

Broadsoft and Allworx

Has anyone setup a SIP trunk with Allworx and gotten the Allworx sim ring and call forward allways features to work. Our Customer gets one way audio on forwards and findme-followme kind of scenarios. The RTP and SIP traces are clean for the inbound and outbound leg of the call.. i.e. I can play back RTP both ways in both legs of the call all the way from the Originatig Carrier to the Terminating Carrier... Any ideas/experiences would be appreciated

Probably OT - Mitel - Adtran

Sorry if this is off topic but I really don't know of a better place to ask this question. I had a customer with a couple of locations that have Mitel SX200 PBXs. Their voice vendor asked us to hand them a Voice T1 out of our CPE which is an Adtran TA904. They told us that the T1 needed to be configured as D4/AMI. After the install the customer experienced dropped calls and the vendor could only really say that everything worked find with the previous carrier so it has to be our problem. After a day or so of trying to figure out the problem I switched to D4/B8ZS because I was out of ideas. As soon as I switched to D4/B8ZS the errors stopped and the calls stopped dropping. I questioned the vendor again and he swears that their side is set for D4/AMI and now he thinks it much be a glitch in the Adtran. I think it's either the vendor didn't look at the config or it's something strange in the Mitel. Has anyone else come across this before? Richey

Looking for Vonage contact

We ported a number a Vonage customer number away from Vonage last week. The actual carrier was Paetec. The number port completed but Vonage hasn't deleted the number from their system. Customers on Vonage cannot call the number but the rest of the world can. Vonage customer service is worthless, hold -> transfer -> disconnect Does anyone have a contact at Vonage for port out of level 3 support? Thanks -Matt -- Matthew S.
