Linksys PAP2T

Has anyone encountered an issue where the PAP2T isn't honoring the registration timer in the contact header sent by an Acme Packet SD to the PAP2T? Any suggestions are appreciated.

Hey all, just wondering slash curious about something. I have a client who had their domain pseudo-typosquatted and whomever is behind it went as far as registering a toll free number with a professional sounding AutoAttendant referencing the victim company's name and the owner on a dial by name directory. There are no accents/typos in the autoattendant and dialing an extension, as we all can imagine, is likely being call forwarded or trunked elsewhere. In any event, I would like to track down what carrier is responsible for the number but have had no luck asking/enquiring/etc to my carriers (big 3-4 Level, VZ, Global, Paetec)... Higher than normal Latency to Verizon HSJ

Anyone else noticing higher than normal latency to Verizon's HSJ location? Its steady, but 100 ms higher than usual. This is coming from Ashburn and on the Verizon network. The other locations are at normal latency levels. Gotta love MPLS hiding this topology. It started at 10:00 GMT and still going. Selecting correct source on Net VX SBC

Morning All, We are working with a Net VX SBC that has multiple customers downstream and a single carrier upstream, to all intents and purposesthe downstream customers have services directly with the upstream carrier. The upstream carrier allocates a set of credentials which are ACL'ed to a specific point-to-point subnet for each service. In our scenario we have a set of credentials and corresponding interconnect for each downstream customer. The carrier provides a single set of signaling and media addresses across all services.. To the best of our knowledge, the SBC only supports a single routing instance, hence when traffic destined for the upstream provider is sent out, it can only follow one route. To get around this, and ensure that traffic goes out over the correct point-to-point interface, we intended to impliment a policy-based-route, assuming that the SBC would source traffic from the IP of the SIP instance regardless of what interface the traffic left the SBC on, this appears to be incorrect however and the traffic is always sourced from the IP on the interface of the default route. Interestingly at a SIP layer everything looks OK. To further complicate matters the SBC is managed by a third party. Has anyone done anything similar in the past, with Net equipment or otherwise? Howdie, I know this is the VOICE list but I'm hoping someone here has some contacts. I'm looking for a IPTV wholesaler that I can partner with to deliver IPTV services to FTTH customers. It will be something pretty small to start. Only a couple hundred houses past. I don't want to invest in a head-end. Just pick up some bandwidth and aim the set top boxes to the providers head-end. question about campus installations

Hey all, i have a question that i could use some help on. I have a customer that wants to replace a PBX that is shared between administration and residences in a campus environment with a VoIP solution. PBX currently has a digital phone in each residence connected via CAT3/rj11 back to a RJ21x the MDF. There are 238 units. customer would like to provide POTs service to each residence with some class 5 features, VM, CLID, 3WAY, etc. There is not Cat5/rj45 connections in any of the units. I was thinking of bringing in several Adit600 chassis, with 5x8port FXS cards in each, which would give me 40 FXS ports/chassis. meaning 6 chassis. i would likely use MGCP, b/c it works well with the Adit. I can't seem to find a better/larger device that does more than 40 FXS ports, besides a PBX. does anyone know of a product/channel bank that can handle more? i can do SIP or MGCP. oh, i know that i can get a CAT 6500 and populate it with a couple CMMs and populate the CMMs with 24 port FXS cards (WS-SVC-CMM-24FXS), but the client can't maintain it. I'm running an Broadsoft M6. thanks! Shri

I am not familiar with many of the configuration details we use but we use an Adtran to do vdsl, adsl, analog lines, etc. We are using a TA5000 with cards in it to handle this. I'm also not sure of the price range you are looking for and if this setup would be out of the range for one customer. The MALC is a bit of a nightmare to configure but it is great. The MALC I have running has 4 - 48 port POTS cards with a bunch of empty slots. We installed it in a weather proof cabinet including batteries & fusing. This came from Zhone already assembled and wired. Everything is in the basement of one of their campus buildings right next to where the old PBX was. To cut over we wired up new Krone blocks for the MALC. Ran cross connects from Phone -> MALC block and double punched MALC block -> PBX block. Left the MALC disconnected on the 25 pair. When it was time for the cut we just yanked off all the double punch xconnects to disconnect the PBX and plugged in the MALC 25 pair. The total outage was a couple minutes to cut 150+ extensions over. I also use Zhone MALC XP 150A with ADSL2+/POTS running MGCP to my M6. The ADSL2+ is great to push bandwidth out to dorm rooms if they don't have Cat5 anywhere. You can get DSL modems that are embedded in a single gang faceplate to mount in the dorm rooms. Students would see a Cat5 Ethernet jack with 24/2 mb ADSL2+ on the upstream The MALC supports P-phones but no other digital phones. http://www.zhone.com/products/MALC/ http://www.zhone.com/products/opx/ (cabinets) For digital phones you can use a Citel Portico TVA-D. This will convert digital handsets to SIP. I'm not sure about MGCP.
