Maintenance for Performance Technologies SEGway

We have been using a set of PTI SEGway x201s with point code emulation for a number of years now. We also have an unlicensed spare in stock. The maintenance contract renewals are due and the two quotes I've received are quite high. I know of at least one other company that has chosen to drop the vendor maintenance and take care of that in-house. I would like to hear from anyone that is currently using SEGways and find out what they chose to do for maintenance. I would also be very interested to hear of any bad experiences from chosing the in-house option. Thanks. 360 outage?

Hello, One of our ULC PeeringPartners (now Unipoint / PointOne) has some DIDs with 360 networks. In the last days those DIDs give a message that the number is 'unallocated'. Does anybody have some information about a problem with one of those companies? Thanks, Oren

SLA and yealink

Hi guys On Broadworks, there are 8 users in a group and they all have Yealink T26P. There is a requirement all 8 users should be able to pickup call for other 7 users using individual buttons. But this Yealink phone has only 3 lines but have 10 memory keys, is there a way we can tweak and use memory keys for registration and use SLA with these keys for every other 7 users? If i want to use BLF, how can i configure multiple list URIs on a single user? Because i want individual buttons to monitor every other user. the only possible way i see is monitor all 7 other users on a single BLF uri and create a BLF List uri for every user to monitor other users? Direct CLEC interconnect - taking the plunge

We are a regional hosted VoIP provider in California. We started as an ISP and moved into becoming a CLEC offering VOIP. As is probably the case with most, we started buying DIDs from wholesale carriers as SIP trunks. The majority of our customers are within a single LATA with a large minority in an adjoining one. We are investigating the feasibility of direct interconnect with the RBOC/ILEC via SS7. I'm interested in pointers/gotchas as well as recommendations of a consultant to help us navigate the maze, both from a political and technical standpoint. Suggestions as what not to do or who not to hire are also welcome. Please feel free to respond on-list or off as you feel appropriate. --

We are using Wireshark now for both protocols and rtp which become increasingly taxing on the operation. If anyone went trough evaluation of the products recently and willing to share a few sentences about it or suggestion, I would greatly appreciate. 311 on Level 3

Our account rep is saying that Level 3 does not support 311 calling. 311 is "Non-Emergency Police and Other Governmental Services". NYC uses it. Does anyone out there use 311 on Level 3 TNs? I just want to confirm our sales rep is correct.
