LRN API Source

Greetings all, We've got an internal tool that lets my NOC staff query extended LRN on numbers. They use this for checking the numbers current carrier, Verifying a number after it ports (In or out)..etc. This same tool also pulls CNAM from a few sources so they can easily test "Wrong caller ID" tickets. Does anyone have any good leads on someone that has a good non-cached LRN API? We've tried two thus far with poor results. 1. "CallWithUs", Real time results, But cached for 24 hours after the first request. So if we wanted to check a number more then once a day, We get the same results. 2. ThinQ. Results returned are either cached, Or perhaps outdated. Querying a number after it ports returns the old LRN. Results do not update until 24 hours after port. Since we have a decent bit of traffic on ThinQ, And a decent relationship with them I opened a ticket to see if it could be a adjusted. First was told that LRN takes 24 hours to update. And that was normal. I pushed back on the obvious canned and incorrect response and they "made some changes" which did nothing. Finally they admitted they could not return real-time results. Many of my upstream carriers are using Syniverse as their LRN source. So I reached out to them. Found my volume (~20 queries a day) is too low for them. And they don't offer any type of HTTP API, Understandably on both counts. Example output of our internal tool. TN and carrier list in a rate center

I would like to acquire a list of TN's and their respective carriers for a small rate center (14 blocks of numbers) I can do API requests to Twilio or another provider to lookup a carrier per TN, but that is outside of my budget. Long story but we bought out a persons 3 year Century Link 3 yr contract and now half a year later we just got a port out request for their main TN. Ordinarily I would say hey if you dont like the service no big deal but this is going to hurt bad if they won't pay up what they owe on the contract (at least what we had to pay Century Link) I've never tried to reject someones port out request, can I just reject for lack of payment? Do I have to give a reason? Do I just do like all the other providers do to me and make them provide CSR data and keep telling them its wrong... XD I'm asking in earnest, I want to be legit but this is really going to hurt the company I work for

Avaya IP Office SIP DTMF

Greetings all, Does anyone have any pointers on delivering DTMF reliably to an Avaya IP Office system? We've got a reseller that installs these, And it seems to be a crapshoot regarding if DTMF works well on them. Specifically inbound DTMF (Dialing into the IP Office system, And dialing an extension via an auto attendant..etc.). Most of the time, The system will produce a "That option is invalid" as it's misheard the DTMF. Out of about 30 systems currently serviced, I'd say about 18 of them work perfectly with RFC2833 based DTMF. 6-7 of them work perfectly fine after switching to INBAND DTMF. And a handful (The remaining 6ish) of the remaining don't work well with either. Of the above 30 systems, They range in IP Office version from 7.x to the latest (9.x I think). And there seems to be no correlation with software version and if it functions correctly, Or not. When a DTMF change is made, It's always reflected in the IP office SIP trunk configuration, After we found some wording in the IP Office documentation basically stating it follows whatever the other system presents via DTMF. IP connectivity doesn't seem to be the problem here. As all of the non-functional devices have perfect connectivity, And DTMF can be seen in a packet capture at the port the device plugs into. We're providing SIP to all of these systems with an Asterisk box running 12.8.2. The same box is currently serving about 700 customers. User equipment ranging from just about every known IP phone under the sun, The same with ATA's. Many Digium G-series T1 gateways, Cisco call managers... None of which ever have a problem.
