It is not exclusive to Broadsoft, at least from a Polycom perspective. It's a config parameter which tells the phone to SUBSCRIBE/NOTIFY to the network/PBX. What other pbx's respond to it, though, I'm not sure. If you go to the Broadsoft severs we interface and turn the feature off, it will instantly show its off on the phone.
