I can tell you from first hand experience that as of right now it cannot be done. It is also true if you are using one of their SIP solutions. I was also told that they are working on an upgrade to allow this to happen, and will roll it out on phases. Primary reason is that their billing is based on the CID you pass along and also for fraud reasons. However each case is different and others may not run into this. Joel P. So hopefully someone on the list has actually tried it with Verizon and can clarify. Dawson, Robert wrote:
All circuits Verizon. They are indicating that unless the DID is provisioned on the PRI they can't do it.

Has anyone been successful in getting Verizon to allow them to spoof CID? We have a customer with around 30 sites in NY - the smaller sites all have POTS lines and failover to a larger regional site with PRI. We are interested in being able to pass the correct CID for the smaller sites when this happens but Verizon is saying it just can't be done. Anyone doing it currently?
Sorry, but this was unclear...is the PRI over which you want to spoof also from Verizon? Or another carrier? Or are you sending the calls out via VoIP?
