Indeed. I think that sums up ENUM peering, e164.org <http://e164.org/>, DUNDi federations, and their various proprietary and semi-proprietary cousins (e.g. Open Settlement Protocol). But when you actually needed to make phone calls, holla at the Bell tandem and SS7 A-links.
