For the last few hours I've been getting calls and texts from 800-636-7230 telling me my phone number has been compromised. When I call that number, they answer with variations of "IRS Call Center" and then proceed to ask for name, address, social, etc to verify my account. I've never dealt with spammers who have an 800 number and am clueless on locating the carrier to report it. (Not to mention I'm already bored of queuing up 100 calls to their number and automatically conferencing them in to an echo test or speaking clock.) Any pointers? -A

Been trying to port a UK toll-free number from AT&T for 7 months (to C-Link).? It is stuck. What organization is responsible for International Toll free that I can go to for help? Thanks! Peter @ RAD-INFO

Peter, The org that's responsible for it in the UK is Ofcom https://www.ofcom.org.uk/home. If your looking for straight up SIP I can put you in touch with a company that we work with there (they are equivalent of a CLEC here in the US). Thanks everyone for the pointers. The old lookup site I was using didn't support 800 numbers. I let Inteliquent know. Hopefully they do something about it for the sake of the spammers. In the last batch of calls the guy flipped out and started screaming "Jesus, please excise the demons from this caller" and then growling into the phone. -A On Thu, Apr 11, 2019 at 9:09 AM Aaron C. de Bruyn <aaron at heyaaron.com> wrote:
