Hey All, i'm looking for recommendations for new nms platforms. We currently use one open source platform for CPE and one platform for Core and Infrastructure. I'm looking for a commercial or open source that can handle all devices from Network, Security (Firewalls), Servers (Linux, Windows), ESX, and standard SNMP devices. I need it to be relatively easy to implement and geographically redundant. If i can collapse both CPE and Core into one platform, that would be a bonus. If there is something i should stay away from, please mention that as well. thanks! Shri

PRTG from Paessler. Hands down the best NMS I've used. * Relatively easy to synthesize business level monitoring (custom SQL queries as monitors etc) * Mobile application eliminates email/sms explosions * Distributed AND clusterable * Easily extensible * A fraction of the cost of the $olarwind$ product * Cheaper, operationally, to run than its open source equivalent *I am not a paid schill, I just really like their product and would like to see them be successful so I can keep using it -Ryan On 10/9/2015 6:59 AM, Shripal Daphtary wrote:

http://observium.org/ Great product for the service provider looking for an open source solution. We use the professional version for both core and cpe. Geo can be done with a hot standby and file/db syncing from primary to standby. On the Observium front, there's a number of people that have jumped to LibreNMS. Fully OS fork of the project, not sure of support options though. -Aaron On 10/9/15 7:36 PM, Matt Ladewig wrote:
