Hello, Does anybody on the list has a recommendation on how to go about becoming an MNVO. Do you have any recommendation of an MVNA to use? Any input is appreciated. Thanks, Oren

You didn't say what scale you want to do this at and what size your company is. Sprint makes it very easy for a small VoIP operator to integrate and resell their services. -- Carlos Alvarez TelEvolve 602-889-3003

As long as you can deal with the IMS garbage their edge switches/SBCs crap out. :-) -- Alex Balashov - Principal Evariste Systems LLC 235 E Ponce de Leon Ave Suite 106 Decatur, GA 30030 Tel: +1-678-954-0670 Fax: +1-404-961-1892 Web: http://www.evaristesys.com/, http://www.alexbalashov.com/

Thanks Carols, We are (still) a small company. Do you have a contact person for Sprint? There may be a technical difficulty with Sprint, because we may need a GSM network. I am not sure about that, yet. Thanks again, Oren On Mon, Sep 24, 2012 at 12:19 PM, Carlos Alvarez <carlos at televolve.com> wrote:

I don't have any Sprint contacts; they are specific to your region. I talked to them years ago and decided not to do it, didn't keep any of the contacts. It was relatively easy to get in touch with someone there (unlike every other carrier). IIRC you could start off with only 100 users. We have a local competitor who did it and I haven't heard whether they like it or not overall. We lost one government deal to them because of this, otherwise I haven't noticed any impact. All of the other carriers needed a far larger scale and seemed less interested overall. If it's going to be GMS and in the US, you're pretty much talking AT&T. T-Mobile is unstable financially and managerially, plus their network is incompatible with top phones that your customers will want. -- Carlos Alvarez TelEvolve 602-889-3003

Did anybody hear about Telecom Services Bureau? Any experience in doing business with them, ATT, or other providers? Thanks, Oren On Mon, Sep 24, 2012 at 12:32 PM, Carlos Alvarez <carlos at televolve.com> wrote:

TSB is a mobile virtual network aggregator (MVNA) with the ability to offer our clients their own MVNO in the shortest time period at the lowest possible cost. To lower your overall operational cost, we integrate back-office network components quickly providing order-to-cash solutions. www.telecomservicebureau.com Telispire is an MVNO Enabler The numbers I have seen - if you aren't selling 500 new handsets a month, the MVNO model will cost you $$.

Hello, I have also the same question like him and i hope if someone could help me about the following points for MVNO : We are a big Internet service provider with MPLS backbone and we want to go for MVNO so that we can offer data services for Mobile net. So my points are as following : 1-How to understand the Model of MVNO. 2-The steps that should be taken in planning and designing for MVNO. 3-How to implement it. I appreciate answering me :). It is UNE-P for cellular. Sprint has a mobile data plan.
2-The steps that should be taken in planning and designing for MVNO.

Billing platform and Fulfillment of CPE including config and RMA
I appreciate answering me :).

Sprint wants to offer MVNO - and they have different flavors. It is a long process. It works best if you have a Broadsoft that you can integrate via MPLS with Sprint, so that the mobile phones are actually on-net to your switch. You need to consider 3 things: - billing - bytes and minutes - handset fulfillment (including config and RMA) - bundling Thank you. Couple of recent MVNO articles: http://gigaom.com/mobile/virtual-carrier-ting-gets-its-first-lte-phone-the-g... Ting is owned by webhosting company Tucows. Sprint told a group that handset contracts - like the iPhone - have to be handled by the MVNO or the MVNE (like Telispire). http://www.channelpartnersonline.com/news/2012/09/tsb-wants-resellers-to-act... Telecom Service Bureau (TSB), a Florida-based MVNO, is on the hunt for resellers who want to act as carriers for their customers
