Hi all.
I have been tasked with performing a SIP interop with the Cisco 7941 model IP phone. I've failed to get it working with the latest SIP 9.x which is still available from Cisco w/o a contract.
From what I've found in my research, an older version 8.5.4 might be the way to go but I can't download it from Cisco without a contract. I'm not sure why they chose to protect the older versions but not the newer.
Anyway, would any of you happen to know an alternate place for me to download the file? I'm not sure I'll be able to purchase a contract to allow me to download the file since this model went EOS so long ago.
I'm looking for: cmterm-7941_7961-sip.8-5-4.zip
Feel free to direct message me if you prefer.
Thanks -Adam

Of course... :P There are probably better links/mirrors to use, that link probably doesn't work at all. Also he could check/compare the hash if there is anything to compare to. another russian link (dl works): http://www.voipinfo.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?p=89309 BR On 03/19/2013 01:01 PM, Alex Balashov wrote:

Well, for what it's worth, as a native Russian speaker, I can warrant that looks more fairly serious technical discussion than a bunch of lulz kids. Unless, of course, the lulz kids threw up such an elaborate ruse, specifically to lure those after obscure firmware. But, that doesn't sit well with Occam's Razor. -- Alex Balashov - Principal Evariste Systems LLC 235 E Ponce de Leon Ave Suite 106 Decatur, GA 30030 United States Tel: +1-678-954-0670 Web: http://www.evaristesys.com/, http://www.alexbalashov.com/

I've got the file and it looks good. As for these phone models. We're not entirely unfamiliar with the joy that is the 79xx running SIP. We have been supporting more than a few 7960s for a while now. The 79x1 models however are provisioned more like the 7970s, with which we have recently had some experience (though it was not entirely pleasant). This is just an exploration project at the moment. Wish me luck. Thanks all -Adam On Tue, Mar 19, 2013 at 5:34 AM, Alex Balashov <abalashov at evaristesys.com>wrote:
