Zoiper has an active-x version of theirs which exposes all the features through JavaScript. Geoff Mina CTO/Co-Founder Connect First Inc. 720.335.5924 888.410.3071 gmina at ConnectFirst.com Sent from my iPhone On Nov 23, 2011, at 2:17 PM, James Jones <james at freedomnet.co.nz> wrote:

SIP The Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) is the workhorse of the internet telephony world. SIP is at the heart of most telephone carriers and is the most prevalent Voice Over IP standard in the world. Luckily for you, Phono can natively call any SIP endpoint right out of the box. |$.phono({ onReady:function() { this.phone.dial("sip:9991443046 at sip.voxeo.net") } }); | Brooks R. Sure, this lets you dial any sip address which is reachable ( accepting requests from servers outside the own network). But the phono webphone does not allow you to use a SIP Provider for registration, calls and so on. You have to use voxeo (cloud), for the connection you can not use it with your own SIP Registrar/Proxy. "The Phono SDK is a pure client-side solution and requires zero server-side logic on your part; all communication is handled transparently by the Voxeo Cloud <http://voxeo.com>. In the near future we will release a downloadable Phono Gateway that allows Phono to connect to any SIP Voice over IP infrastructure directly without the Voxeo cloud." Anyways if no real SIP connection to a SIP Proxy/Registrar is needed, this webphone will be sufficient. Best Regards Max M. Am 24.11.2011 13:22, schrieb Brooks Bridges:

Hi, This one is, I guess, at proof of concept level, but it does look interesting to me: http://sip-on-the-web.aliax.net/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qfFlK1KyF6Q It is based on WebSockets so it uses no plugins.
