Okay, this is frustrating...I'm simply trying to find the RespOrg ID for the RespOrg that's responsible for a given TF number. Shouldn't be hard, right? - sms800.com is useless - tollfreenumbers.com gives the name but not the ID - 800forall.com also just given the name - The old Ameritech/SBC/AT&T automated lookup service (800-337-4194) is DISCONNECTED - I have no more leads -- Nathan Anderson First Step Internet, LLC nathana at fsr.com

If sms800 gives you nothing then the number is disconnected. There is a Disconnect period. Sorry I wasn't more clear...I'm not a RespOrg myself so I can't query their web site directly. I understand that the actual customer/target of the 800 number is supposed to be kept private except to registered RespOrgs, but I thought that they would at least have a public database query on the site to find the RespOrg itself. -- Nathan -----Original Message----- From: Erik Flournoy [mailto:erik at eespro.com] Sent: Tuesday, December 04, 2012 6:29 PM To: Nathan Anderson Cc: voiceops at voiceops.org Subject: Re: [VoiceOps] RespOrg ID If sms800 gives you nothing then the number is disconnected. What's the number in question? 800forall.com seems to work I just pulled two numbers that I know match the correct Resporg. Thanks for the idea, but when I get to the second step it asks me if this is in account in $MY_STATE, press 1. Say it's in MI. There's only some special circumstances where a tollfree is controlled by different resporgs in different areas, and in that case the resporg ID is MULT and the only carrier that can touch it is the SMS 800 helpdesk, so it's a moot point. Hey, that worked! I had no idea what a valid area code might be to get past that, but tried one of the Detroit overlays (313) and it let me right in. Fantastic. +1 on this, you can also choose GA. This replaced the old Ameritech line. Haven't tried it in a while but there is also a Sprint line at (800) 578-1000 but this required speaking to a person during business hours. -----Original Message----- From: voiceops-bounces at voiceops.org [mailto:voiceops-bounces at voiceops.org] On Behalf Of Paul Timmins Sent: Tuesday, December 04, 2012 9:44 PM To: Nathan Anderson Cc: 'voiceops at voiceops.org' Subject: Re: [VoiceOps] RespOrg ID 888-509-9399 Option 1,1,3 On Dec 4, 2012, at 21:23 , Nathan Anderson <nathana at fsr.com> wrote:
