I just learned that a new telecom service provider must have a DC Agent. Can anyone explain why a CLEC must have DC Agent and what is the role of a DC Agent. Any referrals? Thanks much!

As far as I know, a telecom/regulatory law firm usually fills this role. We've used an telecom-regulatory attorney for five years that is great. Any "registered agent" service will do. You simply need someone to accept service of process. Googling for Registered Agent will find you plenty of organizations. The going rate is < $100 / year. -jbn
