Cloudvox used to offer an API for LERG data. http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/cloudvox-launches-free-api-bookmarkl... Unfortunately ifbyphone discontinued Cloudvox which included discontinuing their API service. I've seen the localcallingguide.com API, but I hate XML... Did anyone take over this service? Anyone from ifbyphone here want to put the code out there for someone to take over? Heck, I might be willing to offer it. I can inquire about releasing the code. I'll let you know what I find out after I run it up the chain. Brooks R. Bridges Telecommunications Manager Ifbyphone, Inc. Did someone say there's a gap I can fill? What did this service look and act like? On Dec 6, 2011, at 11:54 PM, Peter Beckman wrote:

The interface was a simple path-based request: http://digits.cloudvox.com/212/555.json It returned, in JSON style, a bunch of data, which included the NANPA ratecenter as well as latitude and longitude. Here's the cached help page: http://web.archive.org/web/20110722123756/http://help.cloudvox.com/kb/digits... I'd use localcallingguide.com, but I have a few problems with it: 1. It's XML, no other formats available. I hate XML and it's a pain to parse without tons of annoying libraries. JSON would be nice. 2. The NPA/NXX lookup doesn't give any city information, or Lat/Lng so I can do a query to google to find the city that most closely matches. 3. I thought that NANPA ratecenters were 10 characters only, but sometimes I get back strange ratecenter names for Canada that don't comply. I only used the REST interface; the DNS interface was interesting but didn't use it. I would like to give a recommendation for Paul's work. A CLEC that I worked for last year subscribed to one of his services, and it was very accurate and priced reasonably. Saved me a month of work writing a nationwide rater by LATA. Lonny On Wed, Dec 14, 2011 at 8:12 PM, Paul Timmins <paul at timmins.net> wrote:
