Define cheaper, as some providers will be happy to give you daily delta of the LRN database to integrate in a local database and avoid network time to request the information.

If you're set up in the NPAC then your access provider probably has something which can do thousand block reports on demand, i.e. Neustar Port PS. This this is a serious part of your business and you don't already have access then consider applying as a Provider of Telecom Related Services. Even though a block of TNs may be assigned to a carrier, an individual number may be ported elsewhere. I would like to know where each number is ported. for example:

Many LRN dipping companies allow a dip over http in various formats. Match the LRN to the NPANXX in the LERG and that should provide the carrier name. LRN dips are much cheaper than CNAM dips.
