Probably OT Ports for Broadsoft

Please forgive me if this is off topic but I am striking out on the Google lottery. Can someone point me to where I could find what ports a phone connected to a Broadsoft switch would use? I am guessing 5060-5080 and 10000-20000 but not having worked with a Broadsoft switch I don't know for sure. Richey

The defaults are 5060 for sip, and 10000-12000 for rtp. If you have hidden the BW network behind an SBC, aspects of this topology may be hidden. David On Mon, Nov 23, 2009 at 4:04 AM, Richey <mylists at battleop.com> wrote:

Thanks for the On and off list replies. This should be enough information for me to accomplish what the customer is requesting. 5060 for SIP Signaling is definitely correct, but unless you are talking about calls to a MS the RTP port range is not in any way impacted or determined by Broadsoft. These will actually be defined in the configuration of all the various endpoints including phones, media gateways, trunking PBX's, SBC's (if they act on the RTP port instead of passing through), and equipment on the other end of a carrier SIP Trunk. -Scott -----Original Message----- From: voiceops-bounces at voiceops.org [mailto:voiceops-bounces at voiceops.org] On Behalf Of David Hiers Sent: Monday, November 23, 2009 10:32 AM To: Richey Cc: voiceops at voiceops.org Subject: Re: [VoiceOps] Probably OT Ports for Broadsoft The defaults are 5060 for sip, and 10000-12000 for rtp.
