Got my first inbound call with a STIR/SHAKEN checkmark

I got my first validated call today from a Sprint subscriber to a T-Mobile subscriber. Presents with a tiny check mark in the Missed Calls tab on my iPhone. Unfortunately the originating party misdialed my number. Tested later on T-Mobile to T-Mobile and got a checkmark in the missed calls list but not on the screen during the call notification. Maybe due to the number being in the Contacts list already. ~Jared

I had noticed this for T-Mobile and Comcast for several months. Interesting to hear Sprint is on board now too. Probably/possibly due to merger. Any bets on the next "big" provider? at&t, Verizon, ? *Brandon Svec* *15106862204 <15106862204> voice|sms**teamonesolutions.com <https://teamonesolutions.com/>* On Wed, Sep 9, 2020 at 1:33 PM Jared Geiger <compuwizz at gmail.com> wrote:

I have Sprint for my cell service and it's gone to hell in a hand basket ever since they merged with T-Mobile. From all my neighbors and friends who have Sprint, they have the same complaint. Too bad. I have been unexpectedly impressed with T-Mobile for the last couple of years. Part of it is probably because I am ~95% of my time on Wifi and use voice over WiFi, so call has never been an issue for me. They also have solid signals near my home and office. Anyhow, we all know cell service depends very much on where you live/work and where you travel. None of them are perfect for everyone. Someday though.. I think there will be a confluence of coverage, call quality and mobile device battery life that come together and then PBX/hosted voip and all the rest will become insignificant. If your mobile phone battery easily lasted 12 hours without concern and your calls were wideband quality and coverage was universal why would you want or need anything else with rare exception? </off topic rambling> *Brandon Svec* *15106862204 <15106862204> voice|sms**teamonesolutions.com <https://teamonesolutions.com/>* On Wed, Sep 9, 2020 at 2:24 PM Mary Lou Carey <marylou at backuptelecom.com> wrote:

So you live near a gender reveal party? This list is normally all business, it's been an amusing day. On cell coverage, where I live there's super-solid AT&T LTE, acceptable Verizon LTE mostly, and absolutely useless Sprint/T-Mobile. Conceptually, does this not also mean an end-to-end IP connection. Thus the ability to pass HDVoice? Assuming codec availability at both ends. If LTE actually worked well everywhere I don't think I'd be so opposed to it. In my experience living 15 minutes outside of the city limits, the wireless carriers are all too happy to tell you "sorry you're just in a bad service area. There's nothing we can do about it." They won't send you a repeater like they used to. They won't come to your house and help you trouble shoot why you're having issues with a signal.....even though it worked just fine before. It's so frustrating I've contemplated moving because it seems you only get decent service in either an urban area or very rural area where the ILEC gets subsidies from the USF fund for delivering Broadband / Fiber. Can you imagine AT&T or Verizon actually doing IP interconnect in a meaningful way? I'm not holding my breath. (he says, as he made a test call today to another small/medium sized CLEC with their newly minted STIR/SHAKEN services today, and passes tons of calls to T-Mo and comcast with the checkmark on them) I'm not sure how long it'll take before we see useful activity out of the monopolies on this one, but i get this feeling we'll all beat them to it. FWIW, Sprint isn't sending it across to Inteliquent yet. On 9/9/20 5:10 PM, Brandon Svec wrote:
