DIDww Outage, Problems

Folks -- Just saw on Asterisk-biz that DIDww is suffering some issues. I noticed this morning that we had trouble getting to their API starting sometime between 2-3am EDT. Their website is currently non-functional with this message (as of 11:42am EDT): http://www.didww.com/ DIDWW is experiencing a severe attack on its USA servers. As a result, some of our services are suffering from intermittent outages. We are working intensively to resolve these issues and apologize to our customers for the inconvenience. Our customer care staff is of course available for all your needs by email and phone 24 hours a day at the following contact details: support at didww.com +44-20-80-99-76-99 It seems this has been going on for about 9 hours now. Unfortunately, I've never had luck with doing that. Mostly because the preceding carriers do not want to disclose their network connections due to proprietary information. Even with carriers you have good relations with, eventually you get stonewalled. I have a question to pose. If it's not appropriate, please let me know. My switches are currently taking in a large amount of traffic from one particular number destine for multiple terminating numbers across my CLEC users. We're having trouble tracking it down. It's coming into us via SIP and SS7 and I was wondering if anyone else was seeing anything with it as well. We have already confirmed a few other carriers seeing it as well. Originating number is 3074591039. The originating introductory messages appear sculpted and carry no originating info. Internet searches on this number brings up allot of people being bothered by this, chances may be good others out here my have users affected as well.

we're interested in trying to track down the source of the calls and where they are entering the PSTN network. I've actually read that, and other phone number reporting sources like it. there is a lot of guessing going on where this number is coming from. we have even tried to take steps with the intermediate carriers that are delivering the calls to us, but they cannot tell us where the call is coming into them due to agreements.
