Anyone using SecureLogix and can comment on their ability to ?Prevent service abuse and malicious or unwanted voice traffic to lower expenses and boost your security and compliance efforts. ? http://www.securelogix.com/Telephony-Denial-Of-Service/index.htm It sounds like it isn?t just an SBC-type prevention of SIPVicious-style attacks, but also TDM blocking based on ? policy fields? call type; absence or blocking of caller ID, call source and destination numbers; call direction; time of call; call length; and certain VoIP call attributes, such as excessive media rate? I understand this can sound appealing, but having had to deal with a few TDOS attacks, I am not sure how well does this would work in practice. Anyone able to comment? What does you use for Hosted PBX and why?

What service or soft-switch do use externally to provide to your customer, and why? What do you like and dislike about the platform. Personally, I have used both Broadsoft and NetSapines platforms both through wholesalers. On Broadsoft, I like the feature set and stability of the platform, but I dislike the user interfaces and complexity of setting up simple things like an auto attendant. I also dislike the cost of the platform as simple features like auto attendants incur an additional cost, and many other platforms and competitors these day offer unlimited auto attendants for example. On Netsapines, I like the UI as a basic user can configure most items without ever having to call us, but I dislike the stability of the platform. Might just be the reseller we are using, but they have had over 10 outages now in a couple of month time-frame, and have blamed it on a Netsapins bug. Some of the backend databases for Netsapiens are also not what I consider professional.

SIP ladder diagram builder

Hello, Is there a nice SIP ladder diagram building utility these days into which one can feed a packet capture and get a ladder diagram out? I see the decaying skeletons of several such ventures online, but what's the new news? sngrep is fantastic for live troubleshooting, but unfortunately its rendering is not export-orientated and doesn't lend itself to automaton. Anyone have a test number that will answer in G722? Looking to do some HD testing. Furthermore, Anyone have any success sending an HD call to any of the wireless guys? VZW/ATT/TMO all seem to support AMR-WB (G722.2) at least on the UE to IMS side. Surely they won't transcode for me 722>722.2? Hello VoiceOp'rs In 2015 the FCC released an order which allows non-CLEC VoIP providers to get numbers directly from the NANP: https://www.fcc.gov/document/fcc-releases-voip-direct-access-numbering-repo… This document describes in great detail, well, not much; it doesn?t really get to the heart of the matter ? the *how*. I can think of several ways it * *could** be done, but don't know how it actually **is** done, Is anyone out there doing this today or was part of the trial and willing to discuss and/or maybe point me toward more engineering-y documentation or maybe even (*gasp*) a reference architecture? Past due/overdue invoices for Doctor offices - How to handle?

Hi All, What's the general rule/experience when dealing with Doctor offices that have unpaid invoices on postpaid telephone service plans? This may vary largely in different regions/states, but can a VoIP provider threaten to disconnect telephone service for unpaid invoices? If a Doctor office is on a pre-paid plan, like most VoIP operations, are is there any liabilities on the VoIP provider when the balance falls below a 0 or negative balance and there happens to be a medical emergency? Perhaps it would be possible to disable calling to everyone except 911. Is this a legitimate practice? Thanks!

Hi Has anyone seen subpoena signed by local city official? We usually get subpoena for CDR request signed by Judge. This is first time we saw a local city official asking for CDR. We really want to know industry practice for this kind of request. Thanks in advance. -Jay
